Joelin (JoJo) and Sue-Jane are at our frontline, making patients feel welcome and comfortable. Being a receptionist in such a busy practice can be a real challenge, but they handle people with dignity, and respect, always friendly, professional and courteous.
Chantell is a qualified and experienced clinical technologist and assists Dr. Venter in performing special investigations and procedures in the consulting rooms and in theatre.
Elrike is a qualified clinical technologist and assists Dr. Liebenberg in performing special investigations and procedures. Elrike has a special interest in implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers.
Johlene is responsible for the practice accounts. She prides herself in walking the extra mile to assist patients with knowledge regarding their medical schemes’ payment structures. Despite not being part of her job description, she often assists patients to register with their medical scheme’s chronic department, effectively saving patients thousands of rands.
Sune is a qualified cardiac ICU nursing sister. She assists as the primary contact for medical queries and prescription renewals where patients cannot, due to circumstances, get to see their cardiologist. She also makes personal contact with patients in hospital who are awaiting theatre procedures. She treats patients with great empathy and patience.
At Winelands Cardiology, we understand the importance of functioning within the context of a specialized team of cardiovascular disease experts, each with his/her own field of expertise. Patients who receive care within such a multidisciplinary team have access to the combined skillset, knowledge, and experience of all the practioners. The team meets on a weekly basis to discuss difficult cases and to ensure that the best treatment is offered.
